April, the Turtles' #1 human ally, often helps them on their missions, holding her own against formidable enemies. She serves as their main connection to the world above the sewers.

The Turtleverse is not complete without its villains. From alien warlords and goofy henchmen to Shredder, the ultimate archenemy and leader of the evil Foot Clan, the half-shell heroes must protect New York City against these formidable foes from all over the universe.

While the Turtles may travel the world and jump through dimensions, they call New York City their home. Since they must live in the shadows, the city's street alleys, rooftops, and sewers play an important role in their lives.
